His Story

From the Ground Up

Hi, I'm Billy Whitmore — founder of Summer Breeze Pool Services. Before starting the company, I worked as a Project Manager and Construction Manager for a major residential custom pool builder here in the Phoenix Valley, where I had the privilege of leading over 800 custom pool builds — from simple elegant backyard retreats to high-end luxury pools.

In 2008, when the pool construction market slowed and builders began laying off, I made a pivot. I took everything I had learned managing and building pools and began applying that knowledge to fixing and cleaning pools for neighbors and friends — and it took off from there.

Over the years, I've seen what it takes to build a pool right — and I've also seen what happens when details get overlooked and mistakes get made. That experience is exactly what I bring to every customer I serve today.

Summer Breeze Pool Services was established in 2008 as a small, locally owned, and family operated business. When the construction market slowed, Billy didn't sit on the sidelines — he adapted. Using the deep pool construction expertise he'd built over the years, he made the shift to pool service and repair, starting by helping neighbors and friends and growing steadily through word of mouth and trust.

What drives Billy every day is simple: People & Pools. He loves being able to serve people's needs with a high level of detail and integrity — showing up to a green pool or broken equipment and leaving a few hours later with a totally restored swimming pool. That transformation never gets old.
